Where to: Miami

Motivation Plus Gratification in the Heat of Miami: They call themselves the Bridge to Everything Miami because they are centrally located in the city of Miami; seven miles from Miami Airport, three miles from South Beach, two miles from Downtown, Art District, Mid Town and Design District—the all new Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay is making waves amongst the locals, the tourists, and especially the conferencing junkies.

“We are absolutely in a prime location,” says Vanessa S. Wehner, Director of Event Planning & Operations for Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay. They have over two hundred associates ready to assist guests while staying at the hotel, and have recently invested $31 million to make “Everything Miami” at this sophisticated bay front hotel. The new Miami modern vibe is immediately found once you enter into their Lobby Bar with rotating, back-lit panels, which changes from a bright breakfast spot in the morning to one of the liveliest places to be (and be seen) on the Bay at night.

Their renovated guest rooms all have expansive balconies and gorgeous views featuring Marriott’s luxurious Revive bedding. Each decorated with locally inspired artwork, they have flat-screen TVs and MP3, video, and laptop computer connectivity.

You will find the pool on the fifth floor with a large sun deck, bar, and more amazing water vistas. Plus they have three great eateries at the hotel: La Playa, Illy’s Café, and Catch Grill & Bar, which seems to be everyone’s favorite, especially on Thursdays when you have a chance to dive into “more than just food” during Thursday’s on the Bay.

Now on to the most vital aspect when it comes to conferencing: ballrooms. Their new 2,600-square-foot Bay View Ballroom and new board room, brings indoor event space to 20,000 square feet, plus they have a total of 23 meeting rooms featuring high-speed Internet, and the very latest in media equipment.
